Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette ($85 CAD)

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette review

The colours in this palette are so inspirational and I love that I could use every single shade in this. The mix of mattes to shimmers is great, the formula blends out nicely and I never get bored of wearing this palette. I wish the glitter formulas were shimmers instead but I can work around it since I adore the colour palette so much. I know some people found the mattes hard to work with but I don’t find that it’s anything a good blend cant fix.

Viseart Eyeshadows ($60 CAD – $222 CAD)

These shadows are my number one formula for 2017. Where the mattes are concerned, they are so wonderfully buildable, soft and blendable. I literally wouldn’t need another matte for the rest of my life with these, and that’s saying a lot. Where the colour variety wasn’t where I wanted it to be, Viseart released a mega pro palette with the exact same quality as their regular shadows and I was satisfied haha. The shimmers are perfect for me, but I can see how they would be underwhelming for those who like a bang with their shadows. It’s more of a soft sheen to a buildable shine, which I prefer for a rather conservative office environment but wouldn’t recommend to those who like a bigger bang.

Bobbi Brown Single Eyeshadow ($32 CAD each)

Bobbi Brown Single Eyeshadow review

These shadows are often criticized for not being pigmented enough but thats the subtle beauty of Bobbi Brown. Her shadows are meant to be a natural wash of colour that enhance the eye, which they do a wonderful job of. I have already gone through a complete pan of Antique Rose (bottom middle shade) because it’s the perfect soft mauve crease colour that I haven’t found any other brand match.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Single Eyeshadow ($16 CAD each)

The pigment, colour variety and blendability of these shadows are unparalleled. To those familiar with her palettes, I find the shadows overall to be a similar pigmentation and the colour variety is just what I need. The shimmers are beautiful, the sheens are delicate and the mattes pack a punch. Custard, Taupe and 10K are a few of my favourite shades for an everyday look that enhances my eye shape and I could use on repeat every day
