Urban Decay Naked Skin Shape Shifter ($66 CAD) Light Medium Shift
This palette is truly a one and done item. It has 5 creams on one side and 4 powders on the other. The creams include highlights, contours, blushes and colour correcting shades. The powders have a matte and shimmery highlight, a contour and a bronzer. The quality of each pan is incredible – it blends out like a dream, packs a punch and literally lasts all day for me. The creams have the perfect consistency on the skin to add pigment while blending out like a dream.
Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow ($80 CAD): Light to Medium
This contains the most beautiful candlelit highlight shade matched with a contour shade thats cool enough to add dimension and sculpt the face but not enough to look ashy on my light to medium skin. The powders blend out wonderfully on the skin and leave me looking so good I often don’t add any other product on top (blush, powder etc).
ByTerry Sun Designer Palette ($104.32 CAD)
The powders in this palette blend out like dream. Overall, the right side provides a very subtle effect to the skin, but absolutely gorgeous nevertheless. I completely hit pan on the right middle blush shade because i cant stop using it! This gives my cheeks a soft beautiful mauve flush that’s never overdone. I’m on the hunt for a dupe to this shade but in the meantime, I have a backup to buy more time.
Morphe 9C – 9 Color Highlight/Contour Palette ($23 CAD)
I cant believe no one really talks about this palette – it’s probably the most loved makeup product I own from Morphie, far above their shadows. Although it may look like the middle left peach shade was loved, it broke in transit so although a nice shade, it’s not the star of this palette for me. I love the middle highlighter (which is a soft champaign gold) that packs a serious punch on the skin, glides on and blends out effortlessly on the skin and really packs a punch. The rest of the shades surrounding the parameter of the palette are matte and lasts all day on me, where most of my powders fade. The yellow shade does a great job of brightening up my skin and the contour has the perfect undertones to bring shade into my face. The bronzers are a bit too deep for my skin tone but blend out so nicely that I can get away with it using a light hand.
