Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit ($40 CAD) in Light to Medium is a powder contour, highlight and bronzer kit. The size of the palette is small (which I love minimal packaging so i’m a huge fan) and the pans are refillable (there is a small groove beside each pan that will allow you to depot or replace it within the palette).
At the time this palette came out there were not many contour/bronzer and highlight palettes on the market so I can see why this received so much hype. However, now that the market is probably over saturated with such palettes this one falls short of anything spectacular to me. The powders are nice, pigmented and soft. These don’t add much coverage (unlike the Kat Von D powders that are thicker in consistency and add an element of coverage) but do leave behind the intended effect of shadows, highlights and warmth.
I appreciate the cool tone contour (to mimic the effect of shadows), warm bronzers to add a healthy amount of colour and two types of highlights: a yellow based shade and a shimmery ivory shade.
Nice but not necessary if you already have similar products you love. This is beauty swatched approved.
