BECCA Lush Lip Colour Balm ($22 USD) – Chai Creme
I wasnt aware of the Becca lush lip colour balm line until I came accross Becca at Beautylish. The premise of this line are lip colours that are a blend of lipsticks (pigment, longevity) and lip balms (moisturizing, lightweight).
I think the acrylic, minimalistic packaging is what KKW beauty tired to go for with her lipsticks but failed as it went the cheap route. There’s something about the type of plastic or the way the component was built but I really think this is minimalistic, transparent packaging done right.
This lipstick is the perfect medium mauve that brings any lip colour that’s too light back to the rage of what looks natural on my lips. I hate to use the term ‘your lips but better’ because it’s so overused but that’s why I reach for this lip colour. When built up, it has colour payoff on its own but for correcting lip colours that are too light, this brings my lipsticks back to life.
Overall, the Becca lip color balm is nothing to write home about. The formula is generic, colour (although beautiful) is easily dupable and and it doesnt last as long as my other lip colours do. I would say save your money and buy a lip balm or lipstick, based on your preference.
