BH Cosmetics Hangin’ in Hawaii Palette ($16 USD)
I am OBSESSED with the colour story of the BH Cosmetics hangin’ in hawaii palette. The rosy, nude and coral tones mixed with the perfect blend of mattes to shimmers means BH Cosmetics can take ALL my money! At only $16 USD, I couldn’t wait to get this palette in my hands to test out the quality and figure out what the ‘catch’ is!
A few of my favorite shades include Maui (cool tone brown that swatches lighter than it appears in the pan), Shaka (a beautiful transition colour) and Coconut and Tiki for a warm brown crease. My favorite shimmers are Sandy (medium champagne) and Waikiki (neutral gold with some depth to it) and Hibiscus and Lei for a touch of colour to brighten up the crease and add some tropical punch to my look.
I was happily surprised when I got this palette home and tested the quality of the shadows on my eyes. The mattes were amongst the creamiest in my collection (on par with the Marc Jacobs single shadows) and the shimmers had enough reflect to them to hold a strong reflect on the lid but enough emollience to blend out seamlessly on the lid.
The shadows swatch as vibrant as they apply on the lid and the colour story is right up my ally.
Overall, I am obsessed with the BH Cosmetics Hangin in Hawaii palette. I would pay way more than $16 USD to enjoy the quality and colour story of this palette! Despite some of these shades being obvious, a lot of brands dont do them! The neutral browns, the warm neutral shimmers and pops of colours that brighten up the crease are harder to find in one palette now that you would think! BH Cosmetics for the win!!
