Dose of Colors Baked Brown Eyeshadow ($32 USD) is a 5 pan matte eyeshadow palette consisting of five neutral to brown shades.
The quality of the Dose of Colors Baked Browns Eyeshadow Palette holds true to it’s reputation of being extremely pigmented, soft (the shadows are loosely pressed into the pan) and bendable. These are almost like lose pigment that holds it’s colour on the lid without blending away or creating patchiness. I think the Dose of Colour eyeshadows are easier to use that true pigments but a bit trickier to use than traditional eyeshaodws are. The key is to go in with 1/2 the product that you would normally use with a regular eyeshadow and apply light pressure to the lid. You’ll find that you wont need to build these shadows up as much as normal shadows to get the same effect. Use a clean blending brush to buff out the edges and you’ll have the most vibrant look that will last all day!
The shades are the perfect assortment to complement any look or even create looks on their own.
Tealight is a matte bone white shade (with a hint of yellow to not make it a stark white)
Deserted is a medium matte neutral brown shade
Outdorsy is a light matte rosy mauve shade.
Cherywood is a matte reddened brown
Rock Bottom is a matte deep warm burgundy brown shade
Overall, I really enjoy the Dose of Colors Baked Browns Eyeshadow Palette. While the colours are not unique, they are every day essentials and the formula certainly is! Once you get the hang of this, you’ll notice the palette will truly last you forever because you need to go in which such a small amount. The way these shades perform on the eyes are so effortless that I can never go wrong when reaching for this!
