Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation ($74 CAD) in shade 4
I’m obsessed with the packaging of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation. The powder is housed in a circle compact with a tiny hole at the back to push the pan out and depot it. Underneath the pan, there is a bottom area for the flat sponge. One side is a black fuzzy texture for applying a lighter coverage. The other side is a white softer texture for packing on more coverage.
Shade 4 is for a light to medium skin with golden undertone. The coverage is very sheer making the limited shade range more forgiving.
The formula of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation reminds me of my all time favorite Charlotte Tilbury Air Brush Flawless Finish Powder. Both powders set your face without leaving a powdery finish behind. I would not wear the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation alone because the coverage is so sheer. Instead, I use this to set my liquid foundation and concealer.
The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation takes away all my unwanted shine without leaving me super matte. It also allows me to blend powders flawless on top of my liquid foundations. While I do like my Charlotte Tilbury powders more because it offers more coverage without the powdery-ness, the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation still works to achieve a similar use.
For anyone searching for a powder that sets your makeup, removes the shine but does not look powdery, the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation could be for you. If you’re looking for a tinge more coverage at a cheaper price, I would opt for the Charlotte tilbury powders instead and save $20.
