Earlier, I reviewed the new Givenchy Teint Couture Balm and have been wanting to post the foundation version of my review ever since. The Teint Couture Foundation ($62 CAD) has a medium coverage with a matte finish. The foundation provides a even veil over the skin to give my complexion a velvet like appearance. For reference, this is shade 4, Elegant Beige (which corresponds to N5 in the Teint Couture Balm).
The colour 4 Elegant Beige is a light-medium yellow based shade that is about a quarter shade too light for my NC35 skin but I can still make it work. The colour selection for this range is pretty horrible.
Relative to the Teint Couture Balm, this foundation provides greater coverage, is more buildable and matte (vs. the balm which is dewy). Both products last all day on my normal skin. Although I prefer the balm for its more natural finish, this is still a great foundation and I used it everyday before I bought the balm so to me, this is beauty swatched approved.
