The Teint Coture Balm ($50.57 CAD) is the newest foundation from Givenchy, I have mine in shade N5. From the Givenchy website this balm claims to deliver smooth skin with a fresh glow, and I have to say that the product delivers. Upon application I get a medium coverage that has a natural skin finish and slightly evens out my skin tone. For those who have a lot of redness, dark circles or uneven pigmentation on your skin, you will find that this balm alone will not correct those areas – you’ll need colour correcting products underneath to conceal.
The balm holds up really well on my normal to slightly oily skin, meaning with no touch-ups it can last me about 8 hours before I have to blot my T-Zone.
Overall, this is one of the highest coverage balms that I own (most are pretty sheer) and it leaves a really healthy glow to my face. If you have the Givenchy Teint Couture foundation you’ll find this has a similar effect and wont need both. The foundation has a matte finish (which you can add dew with highlighter) and has slightly fuller coverage but once applied and blended out, its hard to tell. If you travel a lot, then you’ll prefer the balm for the plastic packaging vs. the glass bottle of the foundation.
You can kind of feel the balm on your face but it’s not overly heavy or cakey. This doesn’t completely blow me away but it does live up to its claim and has moisture and protection benefits in it (hydro magnets, vitamin E and Jasmine flower extracts) .
