The Guerlain Meteorites Highlighting Powder Pearls ($67 USD or $77 CAD) are marketed as a colour correcting finishing that illuminates the skin and is composed of light-diffusing pearls to minimize flaws and add brightness to the skin.
This product is contained in the most beautiful metal tin with textured packaging and a gorgeous flower embossed lid that clicks closed.
The product consists of tiny pearls varying in 5 different colours: yellow to counter redness, pink for freshness, mauve to catch the light and pearl to add radiance. Although the white pearl has the most amount of sheen to it, when swirled together on a brush and dusted over the face, the pearl does not translate into shimmer.
While I appreciate what this powder claims to do and how it gets there, and many find a difference after using this, I have to admit that I dont! I dont see a difference when I apply this product to my face: my complexion looks the same so all this really does (if anything on me) is set my liquid products without altering the colour of my face. To this, I much prefer the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders that come in a variety of shades to colour correct and also contains a sheen that delivers a similar illuminated finish, blurring the look of imperfections. With the Hourglass products I can see a noticeable difference in my complexion for $22 cheaper. So this is a pass for me and is not beauty swatched approved.
