Kevyn Aucoin: The Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting Highlighter in Candlelight

The Kevin Aucoin Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting Highlighter in Candlelight ($62 CAD) has a colour extremely different to it’s powder equivalent! The powder is a light soft gold whereas the liquid is a light bronze. Once I got over the shock of the colour, I found the consistency of this to be more of an oil than a cream or traditional cream that is better suited to be used as a primer or mixed into foundation than it would as a targeted spot highlighter. This product has tiny specs of shimmer in it but they are so small that the products comes across more as reflective as it does glittery.

It’s a nice product but not what I was expecting. For those who like a reflective finish, prefer liquid products or enjoy the shade range. However, since this is not what I was looking for or am that comfortable using, it is not beauty swatched approved.

Doesn’t seem like it would settle very well into the skin with how watery it is… but the shade is beautiful!

Yeah- the consistency really throws me off!
