The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($24 CAD) is a leave on lip mask that is meant to soothe and moisturize lips overnight. The package contains a tub of the lip bask (20g) with a silicone tear drop spatula in a small envelope:
The lip mask is an extremely soft salmon pink balm that a lot softer than it may appear. The formula is buttery soft and has a medium thickness: somewhere between a thin daily lip balm and a mask.
The colour is a light pink that diffuses on the lips to become transparent with a soft pink sheen. It’s quite comfortable that I could comfortably wear this throughout the day.
The balm lasts about 4 hours on me before wearing off, leaving my lips feeling hydrated, supple and plump. My lips don’t feel dry until after the 5 hour mark where I feel the need to reapply. As such, I wouldn’t call this an overnight mask because I wake up in the morning feeling the need to re-moisturize my lips, but it lasts longer than any other lip balm I have and holds true to its claims of leaving the lips feeling soft and smooth. I’ll continue to look for a more intense overnight lip sleeping mask (I tried Bite one and found it gloopier/less comfortable on the lips and it wore off within 2 hours) but for now this is a nice lip treatment.
