MAC Mineralize Blush: Cosmic Force

I feel like people are over MAC a little bit. Whether it was the overwhelming amount of collection releases or newer brands coming up with comparable and even better quality for less, MAC has kind of fallen by the wayside. I’m sure there are many people who may not think about MAC as much but if they revisit their collection they are likely using at least one MAC product regularly or have a MAC fail safe product. Mine is studio fix foundation and I pretty much inhale Fix+ on the daily.

After the hype has passed and the latest trends blown over, at the end of the day MAC to me will always be the pioneer in makeup that started trends before they were trends and houses gems in the brand that even to this day cannot be rivaled. One of my favorite MAC products are their mineralized blushes ($33 CAD). The texture, finish and blendability into the skin (it melts into my skin) is unparalleled.

I am also into the blushes that look like nothing in the pan because they are usually the ones that look the most beautiful on the skin. So needless to say, with my love of the MAC mineralized blush formula and the seemingly boring appearance of Cosmic Force, this was a match made in heaven.

I have never really heard anyone talk about Cosmic Force before, but the shade online drew me in and I took a leap of faith hitting that ‘checkout’ button hoping this would be my  new holly grail and I wasn’t disappointing.

Cosmic Force is well… a neutral soft beige/buff colour with a sheen. That sounds like a bronzer or contour but the shade of this blush on my MAC NC 35 skin is a bit lighter and adds some soft depth to my face once applied and I love it for that.
