Make Up For Ever reformulated and released their Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow ($17 CAD) in a whooping 120 shades! I picked up a few neutral shadows for this review.
While I truly enjoy the quality of these shadows, they dont always swatch amazingly. On the eyes, they perform much better in that they blend out effortlessly, the mattes pack a pigmented punch on the lids and the shimmers depart the most effervescent glow.
The only formula I had some issues with is the diamond range (I have D504). I found that that the base colour of this shadow does not come through. I really only get the glitter specks on my brush and on my lids.
So overall, the mattes are my favorite followed by the satin, iridescent and metallic formulas. The Diamond formula let a lot to be desired for me.
