IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye
Let me start off by saying the product does NOT come this creamy looking. It’s a solid balm that would make my under eyes SO dry I had to wash my face and start over because it couldn’t be saved (I have normal skin). I added my inglot drops to this and stirred it up until I achieved this creamy texture but even then the product doesn’t spread well (was worse when it was a balm) and makes my undereyes look cakey. Finally the colour makes no sense as a corrector. It’s not neutral than peach, so I’m applying a layer to hide my under eye bags instead of colour correcting. Time to say bye bye to this one.
NYX Eyeshadow Base ($10 CAD): this primer is really thick, does not blend out evenly has a weird greasy feel to it and doesnt prime my eyelids! I think I crease faster with this on. Need I say more?
Yves Saint Laurent Couture Contouring Palette ($65 CAD). This product contains a cool, matte tone contour and a banana yellow highlight powder, with some micro shimmer in it. The yellow shade is a bit awkward to use: as a cheek bone highlight it’s not very reflective but when used under my eyes the sparkle is detectable. I would prefer the yellow shade to be a matte colour to set my concealer. Although this is a nice product, I have better alternatives that deliver the same or better effect for less.
Givenchy Teint Couture Balm Blurring Foundation ($58 CAD). Let me start off by saying this is a nice foundation, but it is in this category because it’s just too similar to the Givenchy Teint Couture Long Wearing Fluid Foundation. I did a wear test (linked here) where I tried each foundation on a side of my face and it was too difficult to tell a difference. For that, I would pass on this and stick to my fluid foundation.
