Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles: 130 Medium

The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles ($10.96 CAD) is an OG favorite in the makeup community by most who have tried it. I remember using the dark circle eraser a while back and wasn’t that impressed by it for reasons that I cant actually remember now so I never repurchased it. However, it seems to have made a come back in a lot of YouTubers drugstore favourite videos so I decided to give it a second try.

For those of you unfamiliar with the product, it comes in a tube-like bottle with a fuzzy dome shaped end that dispenses the product. You twist the product up and the formula comes out of the fuzzy piece (oddly enough, it reminds me of the Tom Ford concealer that has a similar application).

The coverage is medium buildable and it’s moisturizing enough to not dry out my under eye area.

The issue with shade 130 medium, is that it’s not only too dark for me but it also has an orange undertone to it (seen in natural light). In the bottle the colour looks a full shade lighter then when it’s dispensed and less yellow based! Since the undertones doesn’t match my skin, it doesn’t blend well so I have to hunt for the lighter shade. Without wearing this for a few days it’s hard for me to form an honest opinion so i’d love to hear your thoughts to see if it’s worth buying another shade. So, for now – enjoy the swatches 🙂
