Tata Harper is a newer brand to me that I discovered at Sephora after seeing rave reviews despite a steep price tag. For review, I purchased the Resurfacing Serum ($110 CAD) and the Clarifying Cleanser ($85 CAD)
Resurfacing Serum is claimed to be a ‘a glow-giving serum with AHAs, BHAs, and antioxidants that refines and resurfaces for a daily dose of glow‘. For the whopping $110 CAD (before tax!) I paid for this, I sorely regret purchasing it. All this is, is a serum that has some pearlescent particles to it that disappear under foundation is is pointless to wear at night. Other than that, after consistently using this twice a day until the product finished (couple of months), I saw no difference to my complexion. UGH
Clarifying Cleanser is claimed to be a ‘a foaming gel cleanser that balances oil and targets blemish-causing impurities while nourishing and hydrating for clear, comfortably matte skin’.
Contrary to claims, this feels more like an oil (less a gel) to foam cleanser. This by far is the best cleanser I have ever tried! Per my usual cleansing routine, I always double wash my face. First with a gel to break up my makeup and then with a cleanser to wash away all of the dirt on my face. After using the Tata Harper Clarifying Cleanser, it gets everything off my face (likely due to the oil-like consistency that breaks up my makeup and lathering properties that washes everything away) so I dont need to go in with a double cleanser! Not just that, it leaves my face feeling soft and not overly stripped. This is my ALL time favorite cleanser that I’ll constantly repurchase!
