Hi Beauties! I treated myself this Sunday to a high end makeup haul so I wanted to share my finds!
Bioderma Sensibio H2O (2 pack: $30 CAD) I’ve become a snob when it comes to makeup removal and consider Bioderma to be a necessity in my routine. It looks like water but is powerful enough to take off even the most stubborn water proof makeup. It doesn’t have any oil in the formula so it works great for touching up makeup if you need to correct your eyeliner wings. This is gentle enough on the skin since it feels like water but powerful enough to get the job done.
Jack Black Moisture Therapy Lip Balm ($10.50) – this beats the most high end lip balms out there. Although made for men, this lip balm is clear and can handle the driest of lips, keeping them moisturized for a record 4 – 5 hours on me! Normally I have to reapply lip balm or it doesnt feel like it’s working but this is great on my chapped lips. I cant be without! I am a bit annoyed that about 5 years ago this used to be $8.50 and the price keeps rising but for a formula as good as this, I’ll pay the price.
YSL Poudre Compact Radiance 03 Beige ($59 CAD) I have started a new technique where I dont powder my entire face anymore because I felt like my makeup was looking too heavy. I now take a yellow powder and apply it only to the areas that I want to set my concealer with and highlight (under my eyes, reverse contouring on my jaw and a bit on the center of my forehead). I found that this powder had the perfect brightening effect to it and blended in effortlessly to my skin.
YSL Touche Eclat Glow Shot ($40 CAD) – I heard this was limited edition but on the YSL site it doesn’t make note of it being limited edition so keep your eyes out if this interests you. This is a cream highlighter with no sparkles, shimmer or intense reflect. Rather, it imparts a beautiful glow that is buildable (the first application is medium intensity but you can amp it up by layering it on). I love the soft glow it gives to the face and is a breath of fresh air as it has no sparkles or shimmer to it.
YSL Souffle D’Eclat Poudre Libre Translucide ($62 CAD) – I religiously watch Wayne Goss the makeup artist on YouTube and he uses a soft pink colour to bake with/ set his under eyes. Although I generally prefer warmer colours on my face and yellow poowders to bake with the idea that the colour pink can brighten up ones complexion intrigued me. In the spirit of trying new makeup I wanted to give this soft pink colour a try to see if it does brighten up my under eyes.
