Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5

Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 ($61 CAD) contains 5 colours in the purple / taupe family. These shadows are nice because they are highly pigmented, the shades are unique in this palette (hard to dupe) and last a long time without a primer (my arm was lightly stained after using makeup removers and soap for a few days). Despite being so pigmented, the shadows still  blend very well. However, for the price tag you can find shadows that blend well enough to  give you a similar effect on the eye. Individually, these shadows are $5 / pan, which is reasonable however together the price tag becomes quite hefty.

I wouldn’t buy another palette unless the colours really spoke to me, but I don’t regret this one that I did buy. I still prefer my viseart eyeshadows more than the natasha ones because I find those truly blend effortlessly whereas these shadows, although blendable require a bit more work vs. Viseart (I’d say blending wise they come in second to Viseart). Also, the shades in this palette would not give me a complete look as they’re quite dark (I need my matte ivory to highlight the brow bone and a mid tone matte brown for the crease). The shadows in her other palettes are not something i’d get a lot of use out of so I have no problems passing. Net, this is not beauty swatched approved, although being nice shadows you can find similar effects for cheaper elsewhere. If you really want to splurge on shadows I’d say find the colours that speak the most to you. For me, that would be within the Viseart range.
