Hourglass Illume Sheer Colour Trio

The Hourglass Illume Sheer Colour Trio ($75CAD) was formally a limited edition product that i’m happy to announce Hourglass has brought back into their permanent collection. I saw this product featured recently in a Pixiwoo YouTube video where Nick was demonstrating her natural every day makeup (linked below). This inspired me to pull out my compact and publish this review!Screen Shot 2017-07-09 at 8.30.20 PM.png

The Hourglass Illume Sheer Colour Trio  comes in a super sleek/thin compact. The product holds three shades: a netural bronzer, coral pink and and champaign highlight. It feels as if each colour was formulated slightly differently for ease of application. For example, the highlighter is a bit stiff so that it can be placed exactly where you need it. The bronzer is very creamy so it diffuses out nicely on the skin and the blush is somewhere in between, which is nice because you can build up or sheer out the intensity as needed.

Despite being a beautiful palette, this is quite expensive and there are many dupes out there that can get the job done just as well. This wouldn’t be the one product to splurge on from Hourglass (I recommend the Ambient Lighting Powders, which are a lot less dupeable) but if you’re into cream products and want to give this a try, you wont be disappointed! Beauty Swatched approved.
