ColourPop released its spring 2019 collection: Sweet Talk. The packaging of this collection ranks in my all time favorite packaging… EVER. I cant get over it! I purchased the Sweet Talk Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18 USD) as well as three Supershock blushes ($8 USD each) in the collection.
Pressed Powder Shadow Palette
The Pressed Powder Shadow Palette contains pinky/ rosey/ tan shades, which is such a refreshing, pretty and wearable colour palette. It’s hard to do something that’s unique and wearable so I commend the colourpop team on this palette!
The quality of these eyeshadows holds up to the spectacular ColourPop formula of being creamy, pigmented and blendable. For the first time ever, ColourPop panned three pressed version of their super shock eyeshadows (as ‘pressed glitters’) in: Garden date, Prism Drama and Early Mornin. Prism Dream is definitely the chunkiest out of all the pressed glitters whereas the rest are fine and apply on the lid evenly.
The mattes in this palette are creamy and rich, which I love because it applies evenly, does not fade and holds it’s colour when applied onto the lid (instead of blending away).
Overall, I love the quality of ColourPop eyeshadows, am inspired by the colour palette and am in LOVE with the packaging. This is an all around win for me!
Super Shock Blush
The ColourPop Super Shock blushes are among my favorite blush formula of all time! I love a subtle wash of colour on my cheek that’s not powdery, chalky or overbearing. I apply my Super Shock blushes with a duo fibre long tail brush which picks up the product and blends it out effortlessly!
Count Me In is the most natural shade from the collection, warm medium pink
Yes She Did in the pan looks deep but when applied is a light plum shade
Get Leid: vibrant warm orange that when applied tones down into a soft tangerine shade
Overall, the blush shades in this collection are beautiful, the formula lends itself to a soft application that’s never powdery. I love!
