The Dior backstage collection took the beauty world by storm. The highlighters quickly became cult favorites and the contour palette and foundations created much conversation. I have previously reviewed the contour palette, linked here, and spoiler alert: I returned it. Since this collection comes at a Dior price tag, I hold it to high standards. If i’m not obsessed, i’m not spending my money or reserving room in my beauty collection for it.
After reading a lot of rave reviews about the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation ($50 CAD), I had to try it. As I get older, I prefer that my foundations look younger (with lighter coverage and more dewy). Odd idea, but that’s what I have been gravitating towards so when I saw that Dior came out with a lighter foundation I jumped on it.
The Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation claims to be a natural, matte finish and medium, buildable coverage that’s waterproof and sweat-resistant. The foundation comes in a soft touch squeeze tube with a twist off cap. I bought the shade 2 warm olive.
Warm Olive a medium yellow based shade. The foundation holds true to it’s claim of being light weight with a soft matte finish. When combined with an illuminator, the foundation is thin enough that the dewyness comes through the foundation. The coverage is high enough to even out my skin but light enough that it melts into my skin to give me a naturally perfected look. This lasts all day on me, feels light and comfortable on the skin and does not get overly oily throughout the day.
Needless to say, I am a fan of the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation. Have you tried anything from the collection?
