The KIKO Dark Circle Concealer (6.20 GBP) is a colour correcting product designed to counteract dark under eye bags. This particular range comes in a variety of undertones. This post is reviewing the 04 Cream shade.
Cream is a yellow based skin tone shade (that would almost blend in perfectly for any MAC NC30-NC35 skin tone). At first glance, this doesn’t look like your traditional salmon colour correcting shade but it can work to correct discolouration for those who don’t have severe pigmentation by hiding mild veining. The consistency is medium depending on how you blend it out (with a sponge, this product will sheer out but with a brush it will hold its opacity). The formula blends well and wears well underneath foundation (meaning it doesn’t emphasize texture, look dry or cakey).
Despite having blue’ish under eye bags, I still enjoy the colour of this to use on my lighter makeup days where I don’t want to fuss with layers of concealer. This works well to diffuse out the under-eye pigmentation (although still visible, it’s less intense). I also have the same concealer in peach, which is more of your typical colour corrector that I will review in an upcoming post. This is beauty swatched approved.
