The Sephora Collection is not a brand that I think about very often nor is it one that i’m tempted to spend my dollars on. I’ve been disappointed by sub-par quality and packaging for too long to give them another try and it feels ironic since Sephora, of all brands, should know what it takes to get makeup right. I bought the following two products on sale, a few months ago and was underwhelmed.
Colourful Face Powder: 20 Serene (
$19 CAD $9 CAD) is marketed as a highlighter but this barely has any reflective particles on it. To me, it looks like a matte face powder for which I have many better options. This is not beauty swatched approved.
Rouge Lip Cream (
$16 CAD $9 CAD) in Seduce: is a light pink, moisturizing lipstick that is quite sheer upon first application and can be built up for a medium coverage. The lipstick is really soft (evidenced by the small crack on my bullet) but it’s not a barrier if you twist up the bullet slightly upon application. Although this is a nice lipstick but highly dupable from the drugstore and not worth the $16 CAD to me so this is not beauty swatched approved
