With the third Estee Lauder x Victoria Bekham collaboration, I wanted to review a few pieces from the collection.
Estee Lauder teamed up with Victoria Beckham to release a set of limited edition makeup. I picked up the bronzer and highlighter almost a year after the launch at Selfridges in the UK because they had a random shipment come in so these two are my lucky charms. They’ve since brought back the same two products in their third collab.
I actually enjoy the compacts, they remind me of vintage powders or purses where you have to push the clasps in opposite ways to open the product up. It has a decent size mirror, gold interior and a corrugated black exterior. Each compact is quite heavy.
Bronzer in 01 Java Sun is a warm medium brown shade perfect for applying in a broad ‘3’ sweeping motion on the parameters of your face (hitting the tops of your forehead, on your cheeks and jawline). I also like to put some of this on my neck to bring my looks together.
Modern Mercury Highlighter is a metallic pink with tiny pieces of shimmer that when applied to the skin deposit a nice glow, instead of a chunky glittery mess.
Both products are extremelyyyyy pigmented so you can go overboard really easily. If you build too much of the highlighter up, then it will start to bunch and look glittery. Similarly too much bronzer looks like you may have gotten assaulted so I’d be very careful to go in with an extremely light hand.
